Epoxy and Polyurea/Polyaspartic coatings are types of floor coatings that seal and protect the concrete floor of your basement. Salt, oil, and other contaminants will never reach your concrete floor once our system is applied making cleaning easy and prolonging the life of your concrete.

A "One-Day System" consists of a polyurea/polyaspartic base coat and finish with a polyurea/polyaspartic top coat. The very fast curing qualities of polyurea's and polyaspartics are what make completing a floor possible in one day.

If your main priority is longevity, you want a floor coating that will prevent moisture vapor transmission, the leading cause of peeling floor coating systems. The "Hybrid System" consists of epoxy as the base coat and finishes with polyaspartic for the top coat. Our hybrid system, consists of a 100% solids epoxy basecoat, decorative flakes, and a polyaspartic top coat to give you the most durable floor available. We've done both styles of floors over the years and the hybrid system has proven to be the most durable solution for the Rochester area where moisture is prevalent throughout the year.

Epoxy is the preferred base coat of knowledgeable contractors as it will withstand moisture vapor transmission better than polyurea/ polyaspartic coatings. Polyurea/Polyaspartic coatings are the best options for the finish coat as they are UV stable and are the most durable, most abrasion and chemical-resistant top/wear coat available. Despite the 10-year or lifetime warranties some contractors offer, these warranties do not include issues caused by moisture vapor transmission.

The floor coatings can be slippery, because they are impervious to liquids. The full layer of chips adds texture to help with the slipperiness. If this is a real concern for you, then a special anti-slip product can be added to the top coat for an additional charge. For tiles, we combine just the right mix of plastic and rubber compounds, so it’s not slippery when wet.

Power wash, bristle brooms and/or mops are highly effective. Our coatings are impervious to liquids, so oil and chemicals can be wiped up without staining the floor. Dirt and other debris can be washed out simply with a hose or light pressure wash.
